Dustin Bergsing (aka Sparkles) passed away yesterday. Hank has known Dustin since he was a little boy and he has worked for us the last three years. He was a permanent fixture on the crew each summer.  Dustin always brought a smile to your face. Dustin was always very appreciative and polite to me. He added excitement to Hank's crew. I would look forward to Hank coming home to tell me the Sparkle story of the day.

Dustin recently had a little girl. Bella has been gathering things for Sparkle's baby since this past summer. When something is too small she asks "can we give this to Sparkle's baby?"

My heart breaks for his Mom, Trista. There are really no words to describe the pain she must be feeling. Dustin was her life.

A sudden death reminds one how precious life is. As I was getting frustrated today I reminded myself I was so fortunate to have both of my children beside me. In an instance your life can be shattered.

Please take a moment to say a prayer for Dustin and his family.   

Dustin will truly be missed. He was one-of-a-kind!
